How it works

From first walk-through to finished yard.

Four steps, one team. Here's what happens at each stage, what you get, and what we'll need from you.

  1. Step 1

    Walk the yard

A free on-site consultation at your home.

    • We walk the property with you and talk through how you want to use it: shade, privacy, entertaining, less mowing.
    • We look at what the site will and won't allow: sun and shade, drainage, soil, access for equipment, trees to protect.
    • We talk honestly about budget so the design fits what you want to spend.

    What we'll need from you

    • Your wish list and any photos you've saved
    • A rough budget range
    • HOA rules or approval forms, if you have an HOA
    • A survey or plot plan, if you have one
  2. Step 2

    Design & proposal

A plan you can see, and a price that comes from the plan.

    • We draw up a design for the space: layout, materials, and plants chosen for Pinellas sun, salt air and sandy soil.
    • You get a written proposal broken out line by line, so you can see where the money goes and what can be phased.
    • We revise it with you until it's right. If you have an HOA, the plan doubles as your approval package.

    What we'll need from you

    • Feedback on the design: what you love, what you'd drop
    • Your HOA's approval, if one is needed
  3. Step 3

    Build it right

Our crews install what we designed.

    • We schedule the work, arrange any permits the project needs, and coordinate licensed trades for gas and electrical work.
    • The same team that designed your yard stays with it through the build, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.
    • We clean up as we go and walk the finished project with you before we call it done.

    What we'll need from you

    • Access to the yard on work days
    • A heads-up about pets, gate codes or irrigation zones
  4. Step 4

    Keep it thriving

Care that protects what you built.

    • You get care instructions for your new plants and surfaces: watering through establishment, what to prune, when to re-sand or seal pavers.
    • If you'd like, our maintenance crews take it from there with regular visits.
    • Call us with questions as your yard grows in. We'd rather answer early than fix later.

    What we'll need from you

    • Watering on the schedule we set while new plants root in

Questions

Common questions about the process

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope. A planting refresh can be quick, while a patio with an outdoor kitchen needs design time, permits and inspections. Your proposal includes a schedule for your project, so you know the timeline before you commit.

Do I have to do the whole design at once?

No. Many homeowners build in phases: the patio this year, the kitchen next spring. We design the whole yard up front so each phase fits the next, then price the phases separately.

Do you handle HOA approvals and permits?

We prepare the drawings and material details most HOAs ask for, and we pull the permits a project needs, such as for pergolas, gas lines or electrical work. Rules differ across Clearwater, Largo and St. Petersburg, so we check them for your address.

What if I only need maintenance?

That's fine. Start with a visit and we'll look at the yard, talk about what it needs, and give you a maintenance plan and price.
